Talk is cheap. So we priced it.
Before screens, a stock exchange spoke through a strip of paper. The ticker tape chattered out every trade — symbol, size, price — and the people who could read it fastest made the money. Nobody could argue with the tape. It only printed what had actually happened.
Market talk today is the opposite. Anyone can post a price target, delete it when it misses, and post the next one. Calls cost nothing, so they mean about that much. The loudest account wins, not the rightest one.
So we built a tape that costs something to print on.
Etherstocks lives on Robinhood Chain, where 187 real stock tokens already trade — Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, the S&P 500 and the rest. Pick one. Say bull or bear. Write why. Then burn $ESTOCKS to put it on the record.
The burn is the point. Coins sent to 0x…dEaD are gone for every holder, forever, so every call shrinks the supply a little. And the words ride inside that same transaction. There is no server deciding what stays up and no edit button for the day after earnings. If you were wrong, the tape remembers. If you were right, the tape has the timestamp to prove it.
Bigger conviction, bigger print.
A small burn gets you a line. Burn ten times that and your call prints as a card. Burn a hundred times and it hangs as a banner on top of the stock's page for a week. Every stock keeps a running scale — bull on one side, bear on the other — weighted not by how many people talked, but by how much they were willing to lose to say it.
You can answer a call by echoing it, burning in reply. You can claim a one-word name so the tape knows who you are. Everything — the calls, the names, the echoes — reads straight from the chain. If this website disappeared tomorrow, every word would still be there for anyone to decode.
What it isn't.
It isn't advice, and it isn't a broker. Etherstocks never touches your stock tokens; it only reads them. $ESTOCKS is a volatile token with no promises attached. Robinhood issues the stock tokens; Etherstocks is an independent project and isn't affiliated with Robinhood.
It's just a tape. Put your money where your mouth is, and let it print.
